On top of the cooking, cleaning, and laundry...there was an etc...That "etc" would be sewing. This is what has pushed me over the top and forced me to come to the horrible realization that...*gasp* I have been domesticated. NOOOO!!!!! I decided that I wanted to do something very special for my new little niece "Quinn" who is due to be gracing us with her presence any day now. After many hours of frustration, blood, sweat, and tears (ok...3 of the 4 are accurate) and with the help of my amazing friend Kimmie, I was able to put together a rag quilt.

Thankfully my sister-in-law loved the end result! I am so excited that Quinn will have something special that Auntie Lindsay made just for her, and I am even more excited that my first niece/nephew has the first blanket I ever made. I am so excited to be an Aunt!!!
As much as I hate to admit it, I actually have been enjoying all things domestic. I have stopped working 70-80 hour weeks in favor of getting projects around my apartment done and to enjoy the company of Gizmo and friends. I am starting another baby blanket this week. I honestly can't wait to see the end result! It is a John Deere theme for my beautiful cousin Sarah's little boy who is due in May!! This one will be more challenging because I am doing it completely on my own. My mom brought over her old sewing machine for me to use and as I can't even figure out how to thread the thing...this could become quickly interesting...
